Capoeira Leuven is organizing a unique capoeira event in November 2024! For the very first time we are organizing a seminar focused on Capoeira Angola and musicality. We’re doing this together with none other than Mestre Pernalonga Santana, a renowned Angoleiro, world authority on capoeira music and one of today’s finest berimbau players. He will travel to the Benelux for the first time ever and will exclusively attend this event.
Unlike Simbora Camará of 2023, this will be a smaller event, where we go back to basics and focus on the essence. You will spend the entire weekend in proximity to Mestre Pernalonga and you’ll get physical trainings as well as music lessons, and of course rodas.
In order to offer the best experience to all participants, places are limited. So, registering quickly is the message. This is a unique opportunity to expand your horizons and further discover the richness of capoeira.

The event will be held in the city of Leuven (Louvain), Belgium. Below you can find the address of the venue. The venue is on a 15 minute walk from both the train station and the city centre.
There is plenty of paid parking underground.

good to know
We kindly ask you to bring your own instrument(s) and spare parts. For example: berimbau and accessories + spare string and a pandeiro. If you’re coming from Belgium and don’t have a berimbau, please ask your own teacher to borrow one.
If you are travelling from abroad (e.g. by airplane) and are unable to bring your berimbau, let us know in the registration form so we can provide you with one.
Limited accomodation places are available for guests travelling from abroad.
